Georgetown Police arrested Jason Todd Bevis on Sunday October 21st at 6:36 p.m. for DUI and Leaving the scene of an accident.
The incident began when police responded to a hit-and-run call on S. Broadway. Witnesses helped police locate the suspect's vehicle and then later identified him by name.
Officers then located the suspect walking on West Jackson and he refused all field sobriety tests.
Georgetown officers determined, according to the report, that "from slurred speech", "heavy/glossy eyes", and the "odor of an alcoholic beverage"; The suspect had "been drinking."
The defendant is currently being held at the Scott County Detention Center on $4,000 bond awaiting a court date of October 23rd.
