Stamping Ground Man Arrested for Cashing Stolen Check

Georgetown Police say that 46-year-old Richard David Grondine allegedly stole a check and cashed it for $382.55 at Central bank on June 29th.

The victim reported the check as being stolen to police on July 3rd and notified the bank on July 20th.

With all things considered - no other charges, circumstances - it's plausible that the victim knew the defendant and that they had at least some level of trust toward each other.

The location of the arrest was 1140 Lexington Road - Georgetown Community Hospital. It seems the police knew exactly where to find the perpetrator (possibly an employee). The time of the arrest was 8:40 p.m. and the arrest warrant was generated at 9:07 p.m. - both on November 18th.

The defendant faces one charge of  Criminal possession of forged instrument, second degree (a Class D felony).
