Georgetown Kite Festival

Christy Lynn Maples
The case against 26-year-old Christy Lynn Maples, dates back to October of 2010 when she was indicted for Robbery in the first degree and Persistent felony offender in the second degree. The subject is listed as a resident of the 1300 block of Double Culvert Rd in Sadieville, according to Scott Jail records.

Those crimes, according to court documents, were committed on January 31st of 2010.

The defendant, at the time, plead out to an amended charge of Criminal attempt to robbery in the first degree and was placed on five years of supervised probation with a one year prison sentence to be probated.

On April 16th a Warrant of Arrest was issued for Ms. Maples for Receiving stolen property under $500.00. The warrant details that the defendant sold a stolen ring valued at $288.00 to Craven and Lewis for $40.00.

The Uniform Citation from the Scott County Sheriff's office indicates an arrest date of April 18th (two days after the warrant was generated). It also alleges charges of Receiving stolen property, Persistent felony offender, Robbery in the first degree, Probation violation for felony offense, and two warrants from Woodford County.  Whether or not some of these charges on the complaint completely correlate with the Scott Circuit Court cases against the defendant is unknown at this time.

We spoke with the Woodford County District Court Clerk and they advised us that Ms. Maples does indeed have two outstanding warrants. The charges are Probation violation, Theft by unlawful taking, Fraudulent use of credit card, and Complicity to theft by deception.

The subject is being held at The Scott County Detention Center on no bond and has a series of upcoming court dates.
