Police Say Man Tried To Set Trailer On Fire
Georgetown Police were dispatched on Monday morning for a report of a man pouring gasoline on the floor of an occupied residence.
Police say that 23-year-old Dustin Travis Aliff forced entry into a trailer and doused it with gas. An unidentified person was able to stop him before he lit it on fire, according to reports. The victim fled the home as the alleged crime was taking place.
The report also states that the defendant threatened to kill the victim.
Mr. Aliff has been charged with Arson, Burglary, Criminal mischief, Terroristic threatening, Disorderly conduct, and Misdemeanor failure to appear. He is also listed on Scott County Detention Center records as a state parole violator.
A separate report says that Mr. Aliff also threatened police while in custody. He's currently being held on no bond.
