Officers Make Counterfeit Money Bust

The U.S. Secret Service contacted the Georgetown Police Department to advise them that 30-year-old Ralph Andrew Rhody was manufacturing $100 bills.

When police arrived at the Georgetown home where the alleged crime was being committed the suspect gave them permission to enter.

While searching Mr. Rhody's room officers found scrap paper, a laptop, and a printer. Some paper contained serial numbers that matched the serial numbers of the bills.

An agent from the Secret Service said they were able to interrupt the defendant and retrieve sixteen counterfeit $100 bills.

Ralph Rhody is currently in custody at the Scott County Detention on $80,000 bond and was scheduled to be in Circuit Court today.
