Detectives from the Scott County Sheriff's Office served a warrant for manufacturing methamphetamine around 4:00 a.m. this morning at the 400 block of Indian Creek Rd. in Sadieville.
According to police reports, deputies gained entry to the front and rear of the residence and announced themselves. One of the suspects, Michael D. Gibson, then allegedly grabbed a green 20-ounce bottle and ran toward the rear door. Upon exiting the door he threw the bottle at one of the deputies, refused to get on the ground and resisted arrest. The bottle was later determined to be an active one-step ammonia methamphetamine lab.
A search of the property was conducted and deputies located "salt, drain cleaner, starting fluid, and stripped lithium batteries."
The owner of the property, William R. Dillon, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing methamphetamine. The SCSO says that he provided his residence for subjects to manufacture meth.
Mr. Gibson has been charged with Manufacturing methamphetamine, Resisting arrest, Fleeing or evading police, Wanton endangerment, and Tampering with physical evidence.
Both subjects are being held at the Scott County Detention Center.
