SCSO: Suspect Threw One-Step Meth Lab at Deputy

Detectives from the Scott County Sheriff's Office served a warrant for manufacturing methamphetamine around 4:00 a.m. this morning at the 400 block of Indian Creek Rd. in Sadieville.

According to police reports, deputies gained entry to the front and rear of the residence and announced themselves. One of the suspects, Michael D. Gibson, then allegedly grabbed a green 20-ounce bottle and ran toward the rear door. Upon exiting the door he threw the bottle at one of the deputies, refused to get on the ground and resisted arrest. The bottle was later determined to be an active one-step ammonia methamphetamine lab.

A search of the property was conducted and deputies located "salt, drain cleaner, starting fluid, and stripped lithium batteries."

The owner of the property, William R. Dillon, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing methamphetamine. The SCSO says that he provided his residence for subjects to manufacture meth.

Mr. Gibson has been charged with Manufacturing methamphetamine, Resisting arrest, Fleeing or evading police, Wanton endangerment, and Tampering with physical evidence.

Both subjects are being held at the Scott County Detention Center.

Police: Armed Robber Left His Wallet at Crime Scene

Four people were reportedly robbed at gunpoint on October 19th at a local Scott County motel. The Georgetown Police were able to identifying the suspect because he apparently left behind his wallet, ID and Social Security card.

20-year-old Jarium Tyshaun Cloud, of Lexington, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for Robbery in the first degree by the Paris Police Department and then transported to the Scott County Detention Center.

According to police, the incident started in the parking lot of a motel when the defendant, and an accomplice, pulled handguns on the victim, threatened to kill him and demanded they go to his room. Once inside, they forced the victim and three of his friends to lie down on the floor while they emptied their pockets, searched the room and took approximately $1,200 in cash. They also stole clothing and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Mr.Cloud is currently being held on $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court tomorrow.

Out on Bond, Man Gets New Burglary Charge

25-year-old Jeremiah William Arnold, of Georgetown, was arrested by the Scott County Sheriff's Office and charged with Burglary in the third degree and Violation of condition of release.

The suspect was observed sliding under the rear bay door of Bypass Rentals and then exiting the business a short time later.

The suspect was confronted by a Scott Deputy at Speedway on Southgate Drive and confessed to breaking in to look for his check, according to reports.

The defendant is a former employee of Bypass Rentals and was out on bond in connection with two burglaries committed at the business earlier this month.

Uniform Citations from the SCSO state the defendant and two co-defendants, Dustin Wallis and Donald Young, burglarized the business.

Jeremiah Arnold was an employee at the time, gave instructions to his accomplices on how to make entry into the building and left a rear door open. He then pawned 19 items at Dan's Discount Jewelry in Georgetown that were later recovered by a Scott Deputy and he confessed to the crime.

Mr. Arnold faces two counts of Burglary in the third degree (Class D felonies), two counts of Theft by unlawful taking and Violation of condition of release. He is currently being held on $10,000 bond at the Scott County Detention Center.
