Police: Armed Robber Left His Wallet at Crime Scene


Four people were reportedly robbed at gunpoint on October 19th at a local Scott County motel. The Georgetown Police were able to identifying the suspect because he apparently left behind his wallet, ID and Social Security card.

20-year-old Jarium Tyshaun Cloud, of Lexington, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for Robbery in the first degree by the Paris Police Department and then transported to the Scott County Detention Center.

According to police, the incident started in the parking lot of a motel when the defendant, and an accomplice, pulled handguns on the victim, threatened to kill him and demanded they go to his room. Once inside, they forced the victim and three of his friends to lie down on the floor while they emptied their pockets, searched the room and took approximately $1,200 in cash. They also stole clothing and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Mr.Cloud is currently being held on $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court tomorrow.
