Two Arrested for Lexington Auto Theft


Two Lexington residents were arrested by the Scott County Sheriff's Office on November 11th near the vicinity of Lighthouse and Lantern Way for Receiving stolen property over $10,000.

The first defendant, according to a Uniform Citation, is 34-year-old Amanda Lee Chenault.

The second defendant is 18-year-old Nathaniel Creed Byrd -- described as the brother of the first defendant -- who also shares the same address in Lexington, according to police documents.

The incident stems from the alleged theft of a vehicle that apparently belonged to their mother.

As of November 10th the two defendants were still being held at the Scott County Detention Center.

No further information is available at this time.
