The accused is charged of Burglary in the first (Class B felony, penalty being ten to twenty years in prison) and Receiving stolen property.
Judge Phelps, on January 29th, gave no reductions of bond and Young is being held on $20,000 full cash bond - verified by Scott County detention Center officials - and has a pending court hearing on February 7th at 1:30 p.m (according to court documents).
SCSO records indicate that Young had prior knowledge of the victims residence and their whereabouts at the time of the crime. Upon learning that the victims were not home, Young, and two unnamed accomplices then proceeded to the residence. In fact, Young may have had very intimate knowledge about the crime scene and possible knew them very well (we can't reveal this information to protect the victims).
Young, after the burglary, transferred or sold two watches, a Nikon camera, and an iPhone 4 to another subject who stated to deputies that he obtained them from Young. And the report states that five firearms were also stolen from the residence.
Another subject told deputies that Young also stated he stole three televisions and two laptops from the victim's home. However, this cannot be corroborated as fact at this time.
