Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of Minor

35-year-old Shane Edward Peters, a former Scott County resident, has been charged with Sexual abuse in the first degree (victim under 12-years-old).

Records state the defendant is already an inmate at Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, Kentucky on other charges.

The warrant for his arrest was served by the Oldham County Sheriff at the prison back in May of this year.

A Scott County Criminal Complaint describes the crime which allegedly occurred for several years dating back to 2007. Details are extremely graphic and will not be elaborated, but the victim is said to have repeatedly begged the defendant to stop the assaults.

The accused is currently detained at the Scott County Detention Center awaiting a court date scheduled for October 1st.
