Kentucky State Police: Post 12 Set the Trap for Georgetown Heroin Bust

In an undercover investigation, Kentucky State Police: Post 12 made a controlled buy of narcotics from Vontimmias "Von" Decole Fields, resulting in a major drug case.

In all, the defendant faces as many as twelve different charges ranging from Trafficking in controlled substance to Possession of a (loaded) handgun by convicted felon, and the list goes on. The charges can be viewed in full on two pages of Scott County Court records.

The KSP listed a summation of the incident in a press release:
On Monday, November 26, 2012, at approximately 8 pm, Post 12 KSP Narcotics Detectives investigation led them to a Motel in Scott County. The investigation turned up 26 grams of Heroin (with a street valued of $5200.00) Suboxone, Marijuana, Cocaine, $2554.00 in cash and a stolen loaded handgun.

The case unfolded like this; First the KSP made a control buy using a confidential informant. Then a search warrant was executed at the defendant's residence. Inside the Troopers discovered a "large quantity" of heroin, a loaded stolen handgun, various other drugs, and paraphernalia.

Next, the KSP located the suspect at Colonial Gardens Apartments and when they approached he allegedly tried to destroy some of the evidence (heroin), and threw some under a vehicle.

Lastly, upon transporting the defendant to Scott County Detention Center, according to KSP, the defendant was asked if he had anything else illegal on him. He answered no.

After searching the defendant they located more baggies of suspected drugs and pills. The items were located in the subjects rectum.

The defendant is being held at the Scott County Detention Center pending a future court date. He was deemed a flight risk and a danger to himself and others by Judge Vanessa Dickson.
