New Details on Georgetown Man Accused of Sexual Abuse

A 65-year-old Georgetown resident, Phillip Dwayne Wise, was arrested on October 26th at 11:22 p.m. by Georgetown Police for Sexual abuse in the first degree.

The charge is a Class C or D felony, depending on the circumstances.

The arrest came pursuant to a Warrant of Arrest signed by District Court Judge Mary Jane Phelps on October 24th.

A Uniform Citation from the Georgetown Police offers some details of the arrest.

However, the official Complaint within the warrant paints a grizzly account of the accusations made against the defendant by The Commonwealth.

The warrant also states that the defendant had a "previous career as a law enforcement officer" but this blog was unable to ascertain what affiliation, if any, the defendant had. The Georgetown Police were only able to comment that it's an "ongoing investigation".

After searching public records for a Phillip Wise in Georgetown; There is some evidence, according to the Kentucky Secretary of State online records, that someone by that name founded a company here in Georgetown in 2005.

The company, Wise Industry, LLC, was then signed over by someone named Phillip Wise in 2009 to another party. What's unclear, is whether these two people are one in the same, or not. This blog makes no claim to the connection as there is no way to corroborate it at this time.

    1. I have a feeling once this gets out there will be more girls coming out with complaints against him. The ones who were too afraid to tell on him because he is intimidating, and used to be in law enforcement

  4. Phillip Wise helped the Sheriff Department make several large busts in the 80's while serving for Georgetown. He is an upstanding man who is being exploited and unjustly persecuted. We still live in America where you are innocent until proven guilty. If you want some real facts T. Nichols, start with a credible source please.

  5. Here's a credible source, he himself has admitted everything he done to his daughter to the police department, with the exception he stated it was all consensual. But his daughter was 13 when he first sexually abused her so its definitely not going to look good on this statement. Who could even look at their daughter in a sexual manner? He is sick in the head and anyone who could stand behind a man like that is sick too.
