Georgetown Man Arrested for Felony Probation Violation

Local Georgetown resident, Robert Lee Taylor, has been arrested and detained for Probation violation (for felony offense).

The case dates back to August of 2010 when a Circuit Court Indictment charged the subject with 4-counts, three felonies and one misdemeanor.

The original charges were Complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance - first degree,  Complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance - second degree, Trafficking in controlled substance - second degree, and Endangering the welfare of a minor.

However, those charges were amended down as part of a plea agreement, according to a Scott County Circuit Court judgement and sentence, and the subject was placed on felony probation.

The then defendant, plead guilty to Facilitation to T.I.C.S - first degree,  Facilitation to T.I.C.S - second degree, and T.I.C.S - second degree with the endangering charge being dismissed.

The sentence given was 5-years in prison, but it was probated. The defendant may be facing that entire prison term because of this violation.

As of Friday, Mr. Taylor was being held on $10,000 bond at the Scott County Detention Center.
