Corinth Man Arrested for Shoplifting at Kroger

The Georgetown Police received a call on were dispatched to Kroger for a shoplifter on November 1st at 12:53 p.m.

The suspect, 25-year-old Joshua Brian Phelps, was being held by Kroger Loss Prevention for stealing "a night time mouth guard" and "some medicine". In total, the value of the merchandise was only $39.34, according to a police Uniform Citation.

The charge, KRS 514.030, is a Class A misdemeanor and the defendant is scheduled to be in court today.

Theft by unlawful taking or disposition is a Class A misdemeanor unless the value of the property is five hundred dollars ($500) or more, in which case it is a Class D felony;
