Georgetown Woman Faces Seven Charges Involving Drug Trafficking


Georgetown resident, 48-year-old Hannah Jane Karpovich was processed into the Scott County Detention Center on November 13th on seven charges stemming from three different indictments with multiple counts.

The indictments date back to 2009 and 2010, two of which contain multiple charges. They were all filed on September 3rd of 2010.

The First Indictment, charges dated October 2009, has three counts involving drug trafficking of Xanax, Oxycodone, and a legend drug (Tizadine).

The Second Indictment has a single charge of Trafficking in where the defendant allegedly sold Oxycodone to a confidential informant March 2010.

The Third Indictment has four counts alleging the sale - in may of 2010 - of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Drug paraphernalia, and Endangering of a minor.

According to Detention Center records dated November 16th the defendant was still being held on $10,000 bond pending a court hearing of December 7th.

The current charges are listed as Trafficking in controlled substance - 1st offense, Trafficking in controlled substance - third degree, Trafficking in legend drug - first offense, Possession of controlled substance - 1st degree, Possession of controlled substance - second degree, Drug paraphernalia - buy or possess, and Endangering the welfare of a minor.
