Within the same day of being dispatched for attempt to locate a stolen vehicle out of Lexington, Deputies recovered the missing vehicle. They arrived at the 700 block of Gunnell Road and observed a Dodge Durango matching the description and confirmed a license plate match.
According to a Uniform Citation, Whitaker admitted to taking the vehicle without permission.
At the time of this report the defendant was being held without bond at the Scott County Detention Center - according to official records - awaiting transfer to Fayette County.
