DUI Infant Arrest leads to Felony Charge for Local Woman

The Infamous Geese of  Elkhorn Park

Brandi Nicole Hagan
Georgetown Police responded to a motorist assist at the Mary Lynn Drive Shell Station, but found something altogether different (according to a Uniform Citation).

Police say that 25-year-old mother, Brandi Nicole Hagan, was hysterical and talking on the phone. She then became belligerent on her cell phone and started making statements that her husband beat her and she was trying to get away from him (we simply have no evidence that her statements were either true or false, unfortunately).

Police state that Mrs. Hagan was slurring her speech and appeared unsteady on her feet. The police discovered that inside the vehicle was her infant child screaming (approximately 8-months in age).

Now, the next statements by the officer seems to corroborate her story, but once again, we have no evidence to that effect. The suspect, Mrs. Hagan, had bumps on her face "where she had been assaulted."

Both she and the baby were transported to Georgetown Hospital. Officers say, she then became loud and belligerent with both police and hospital staff. She was told to be quiet and then was transported to the Scott Jail and complied.

Mrs. Hagan faces charges of DUI, Disorderly conduct - 2nd degree, Assault - 4th degree (domestic violence, minor injury), and felony Wanton endangerment - 1st degree.
