Man Jailed for High Speed Chase


Georgetown Police say 20-year-old Brandon Scott Fryman ran from them as they attempted to perform a traffic stop around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday July 7th.

Police reports state the suspect was observed on a motorcycle traveling at a very high rate of speed on South Broadway. Police attempted to catch up as the suspect slowed and moved into the right lane. The officer then noticed the cycle had no license plate as lights and sirens were activated. At that time the suspect turned into the left lane, accelerated and a chase ensued.

The arresting officer says the chase reached speeds of approximately 90 MPH as it ended at the intersection of US 25 and 460. The suspect tried to make a right turn as the light turned red, lost control and wrecked. No injuries were reported and the suspect was arrested.

Mr. Fryman has been charged with Reckless driving, Improper display of registration plates, Obscuring the identity of a machine, Fleeing and evading police in the first, and Wanton endangerment in the first. The last two charges being Class D felonies.
