Persistent Felon Back in Jail for Drug Trafficking

Historic Georgetown

Tyler Eugene Foster
On May 6, 2011, Tyler Eugene Foster was convicted of Complicity to theft, Assault 4th, two counts of Trafficking in controlled substance - first degree, and Persistent felony offender. His sentence was 1 to 8 years in prison with a maximum of 8 years to be served. The judge determined that "probation....would unduly depreciate the seriousness of the Defendant's crime".

Turn the clock forward to yesterday, February 19, 2013. Tyler Eugene Foster was arrested, according to Scott Jail records, for Trafficking in controlled substance - first degree, and Possession of controlled substance in the first degree.

One could reasonably say that Mr. Foster was on parole and another charge will be forthcoming due to the first sentence and the corresponding dates of the offenses (not even two years apart).

The defendant is being held on No Bond at the SCDC and has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
