Lexington Man Indicted for Multiple Felonies

Lexington resident, 34-year-old Phillip Ray Ginter, has been arrested on a Scott County warrant for a 2-count felony indictment.

The exact charges are Complicity to robbery (Class B felony) and Persistent felony offender - first degree.

The details of the charges are laid out in the indictment where the defendant, allegedly. was party to a robbery against a lone victim using "physical force" and "causing physical injury.

The Persistent felony offender - 1st degree charge is outlined as such.

A persistent felony offender in the first degree is a person who is more than twentyone (21) years of age and who stands convicted of a felony after having been convicted of two (2) or more felonies, or one (1) or more felony sex crimes against a minor as defined in KRS 17.500, and now stands convicted of any one (1) or more felonies.

As of Friday afternoon the defendant was being held at the Scott County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.

Updated: Owenton Men Indicted on Scott County Drug Trafficking Charges

Updated November 9th:

The indictment and case against Marvin Bryan Keith has been dismissed by Scott County Circuit Court Judge Paul Isaacs.

Officers from Kentucky State Police, Post 5 arrested two Owenton, KY men on Scott County Felony Indictments for drug trafficking.

The men were processed at The Scott County Detention Center on October 29th at 3:33 p.m.

The first defendant, Marvin Bryan Keith, is being charged with Trafficking a controlled substance, Persistent felony offender, and has a holder (another case[s]) from Franklin County.

The charges involve the defendant allegedly selling Oxycodone pills, on more than one occasion, to a confidential informant. The details are outlined in the Scott County Indictment. He's being held on $21,000 full cash bond pending a November 2nd court date.

The second defendant, Mathew Adam Keith, is charged with Trafficking a controlled substance. The details of his indictment are similar in that allegedly he sold Oxycodone pills to a confidential informant once. He's also being held on $10,000 bond until a November court date.

Georgetown Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at Kroger



A local Georgetown woman, Rhoda Jane McGuire, was arrested for Shoplifting by the Georgetown Police Department on Saturday October 27th at 1:38 p.m.

The suspect was observed by Kroger loss prevention and detained in the office until police arrived, according to a Uniform Citation.

Although the value of the stolen item was only $38.50, the defendant faces numerous other -- mostly unrelated -- charges, according to Scott County Detention Center records.

The charges are as follows:

Failure to pay - citation for misdemeanor, Criminal possession forged instrument, Theft by deception - including cold checks, Persistent felony offender, and Theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting).

The defendant is being held on $7,253 bond and is awaiting a court date of November 2nd.

Georgetown Police make Multiple Drug Trafficking Arrests



On the morning of Friday October 19th the Georgetown Police Department served warrants and made two felony arrests for Trafficking in controlled substance - first degree.

The first defendant, 34-year-old Shane Debronsky Wilson, was charged with Trafficking in controlled substance - first degree, and Persistent felony offender - first degree. The arrest location was George Martin Ave. Wilson is being held at the Scott County Detention Center on $20,000 bond pending a November 2nd court date.

The second defendant, 32-year-old Brandy Marie Jarrell, was charged with Trafficking in controlled substance - first degree. The arrest location was Ransom Trace. Jarrell is being held at the Scott County Detention Center on $10,000 bond pending a court date of November 5th.

Georgetown Man Arrested on Felony Warrant for Jumping Bail

The Georgetown Police Department served a felony warrant on Georgetown resident Kevin B. Stakelin on October 18th at 6:20 p.m. without incident.

The defendant faces numerous charges including two counts of Citation for misdemeanor - failure to appear, Bail Jumping in the first degree (Class D felony), and Persistent felony offender in the second degree which is described as:

A persistent felony offender in the second degree is a person who is more than twenty-one (21) years of age and who stands convicted of a felony after having been convicted of one (1) previous felony. 

The defendant is currently being held at Scott County Detention Center on $50,000 bond and has a court date scheduled for November 2nd. Details of the arrest can be found on this Georgetown Police Uniform Citation.
