Woman Arrested for DUI, Drug Possession



Georgetown Police received a complaint of a reckless driver on November 27th in the area of Cherry Blossom and Paris Pike. A uniformed officer responded and identified the vehicle.

According to the Officer's report the vehicle swerved towards the median, then over corrected back into the right lane, and almost struck another vehicle. After making a a traffic stop on the driver the officer states that the suspect, 30-year-old Allison Danielle Gregory, had slurred speech and trouble retrieving her operators license.

The officer then observed a pill bottle in the suspect's purse and she stated that she had no prescription for it and was not prescribed any medication. The suspect failed the Standard Field Sobriety Test and was placed in custody.

The defendant was released on $5,000 bond but faces charges of DUI, Reckless driving, Possession of controlled substance (2nd degree), and Illegal possession of legend drug.

Teen Arrested for DUI had .253 Blood Alcohol Content


Georgetown resident, 18-year-old Amber Denise Lloyd, was arrested on November 10th for a total of seven charges (three of them felonies) involving a DUI incident inside the Georgetown Oaks Apartments.

The charges are outlined in a Two-page Warrant of Arrest dated October 29th. The defendant also had a separate Bench Warrant for Failure to appear, adult intoxication.

According to the warrant, witnesses say on October 19th the defendant collided with air conditioning units and one of the buildings of Georgetown Oaks Apartments. Then, at a high rate of speed, struck another vehicle and caused damage to two others.

Lloyd then left her vehicle, the scene of the accident, and moved to another location on the property. Witnesses showed police of her whereabouts and she was arrested. Within two hours her blood alcohol level was tested at .253.

According to The University of Oklahoma, a blood alcohol level that high is described as such:
0.25 BAC: All mental, physical and sensory functions are severely impaired. Increased risk of asphyxiation from choking on vomit and of seriously injuring yourself by falls or other accidents.
0.30 BAC: STUPOR. You have little comprehension of where you are. You may pass out suddenly and be difficult to awaken.
In all, the defendant faces charges of DUI, Leaving the scene of an accident, No operators license, Three counts of Criminal Mischief - 1st degree, Failure to maintain required insurance.

Man Arrested for DUI in Bizarre Hit and Run

On November 3rd, Georgetown Police responded to a hit and run on lemons Mill Road. When the officer arrived on the scene the victim had told dispatch that the suspect, 56-year-old Paul M. Sizemore, drove into Violets Trace and was "driving through yards to get away from the caller".

The officer pulled over the vehicle near the vicinity of  Lemons Mill Road and Seth Way. The officer states that he observed the suspect to be disorientated, smelled of alcohol, and could barely stand.

The suspect stated that he had a "few drinks" and was on prescription medication.

The defendant was charged with Leaving the scene of an accident and Operating a motor vehicle under the influence. The bail was $4,000 - no word on whether bond was posted - and a court date was set for today.

Corinth Man Charged with DUI Hit and Run on Darby Drive



According to a Uniform Citation from the Georgetown Police Department; 29-year-old Mark Anthony Soard was driving intoxicated last Thursday evening and left the scene of the accident.

Police responded to a call of a non-injury accident near the corner of Darby Drive and Darby Lane and the victim directed them to the suspect driving away.

After making a traffic stop and ascertaining through a SFST the suspect had been drinking, the officer placed him under arrest (suspect did admit to drinking at Applebee's before the accident).

The suspect also had some traffic violations. In all, the defendant is charged with Operating a motor vehicle under the influence, Leaving the scene of an accident, Failure of owner to maintain required insurance, and Operating vehicle with expired operators.

Sadieville Man Charged with Hit-and-Run on S. Broadway

Georgetown Police arrested Jason Todd Bevis on Sunday October 21st at 6:36 p.m. for DUI and Leaving the scene of an accident.

The incident began when police responded to a hit-and-run call on S. Broadway. Witnesses helped police locate the suspect's vehicle and then later identified him by name.

Officers then located the suspect walking on West Jackson and he refused all field sobriety tests.

Georgetown officers determined, according to the report, that "from slurred speech", "heavy/glossy eyes", and the "odor of an alcoholic beverage"; The suspect had "been drinking."

The defendant is currently being held at the Scott County Detention Center on $4,000 bond awaiting a court date of October 23rd.


Georgetown Woman Arrested for DUI Involving Child

Georgetown resident, Tillisa Marie Garrett, was arrested for DUI on Saturday night at 9:48 p.m. According to a Uniform Citation, the Georgetown Police received a complaint of a "vehicle driving excessive speeds and all over the roadway".

A Georgetown officer responded and "observed the vehicle swerve and almost hit the curb". When the vehicle was pulled over the officer discovered "10 Xanax pills" while instructing the driver to perform a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST). The officer states that the suspect's speech was slurred and eyes were constricted and showed "numerous clues for DUI".

The suspects child was allegedly in the back seat but was "not buckled" in a child restraint.

The defendant is charged with DUI, Possession of a controlled substance - 1st degree, Failure to use Child restraint device, and Wanton endangerment - 2nd degree.

The defendant was released on Surety Bond pending a court date on October 23rd.

Georgetown Man Charged with DUI, Assault Involving His Child in Lexington

A Local Georgetown man, Rodney Clay Agee, is facing multiple charges and is in the custody of The Fayette County Detention Center. His charges include 1) DUI, 2) Leaving the scene of an accident, 3) No insurance, and 4) Assault in the 1st degree - according to online jail records.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is in jail, accused of leaving the scene of a crash that injured his child.It happened on the off ramp of I-75 onto Newtown Pike around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.Rodney Agee is facing assault, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident charges following the crash.Lexington Police say Agee caught a ride with a passerby back to his Georgetown home instead of getting help for the child.

Stamping Ground Man Charged with DUI After Striking Pedestrian















The Scott County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged Stamping Ground resident George M. Byers in connection with a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred, approximately, at the corner of Stamping Ground Road and Great Crossing Park Road in Scott County. The pedestrian, Dazine Young, had "serious physical injury" according to law enforcement documents.

An elderly man was sent to the hospital in Scott County late Wednesday morning after being hit by what authorities say was a drunk driver.The incident happened just before noon near Stamping Ground Park in Georgetown. Scott County officials say 24-year old George Byers was behind the wheel when he struck Dazine Young, who officials say was walking along the shoulder of the road when Byers struck him.Officials say Young was knocked unconscious, and there is no word yet on his condition.Byers was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence and second-degree assault.
A Scott County Sheriff's Office Uniform Citation obtained by Georgetown, Kentucky - Crime Blog reveals more detail into the incident. Apparently the suspect told the arresting Deputy that "he had taken 4 Lorazepam pills". The Deputy performed a SFST (Standard Field Sobriety Test), in which he subsequently failed. After further investigation into the wreck the Deputy then found the suspect had acted in "a wanton manner considering the speed and use of pills".









In all, the suspect was charged with Operating a motor vehicle...while under the influence of...a controlled substance (Kentucky Statute 189.010 5a) and Assault in the second degree (Kentucky Statute 508.020).

The defendant was released today from the Scott County Detention Center at 1:50 p.m. on Surety Bond according to Detention Center officials.
